ST.SEBASTIAAN DARK  t_u t_u t_u

Double from Sterkens, brewed at du Bocq. This has an ABV of 6.2%. I have only
tasted this brew previously twice in 2004, and then the ABV was 6.9%.

Pours a very deep ruby burgundy, with a huge rocky creamy and frothy head. Not
much in the way of lacing.

Malty caramel spicy aroma.

It's thinnish bodied, and nicely carbonated with a very slightly fizzy mouthfeel,
which is also very smooth and soft. There's plenty of malts, with milk chocolate,
toffee, mocha, caramel, demerara sugar, raisins, dark ryebread, plums, bread,
and fudge, along with some gentle fruity orange tang. Sweetish start then a
longer more bitter finish. Good depth of flavour for the ABV, some complexity,
and well balanced, well rounded, and easy drinking. Improves as it warms. Nice
brew!

Cheers!
