Hi,
I just noticed a new beer at supermarket LIDL

A blond tripel at 8.4 vol%.
They come at 4 Euro for one 4-pack. That's a stunning 1 Euro/bottle of tasty tripel!
Tasty, yes, and also having a nice spicy touch.
This beer is brewed at bry. De Brabandere, which also makes the Petrus tripel, hence the Petrus glass I used.
Is it the same beer?
Well, that needs a side-by-side tasting asap !!

Well, that needs a side-by-side tasting asap !!

And that's exactly what I've done yesterday at home.

The Forbel goes at 8.4 vol%, and the Petrus Tripel at a lower 8 vol%, but that's a perfect legal mentioning. A difference of 0.5 vol% is possible.
Tasting and nosing gives exactly the same profile. Also, the color and foam appearance do not differ.
For me it is obvious that both are the same, only, at supermarket LIDL they are less expensive 🧐
