I noticed that I already deleted Belgo Sapiens and Leopold7 (Marsinne).
Sadly, I deleted Brunehaut too today

From what I've heard, there is a possiblity that the brewery could be taken over !

That's some good news at least. It has a long established track record,
well known branding, marketing and sales channels, good products, etc,
etc, etc so that must count for something.

Let's see what transpires.............

Filip, as it stands now would you say that there are more breweries opening these days or closing these days, or is it just about even?

It certainly hurts to hear when any brewery has to shut its doors, especially one that's been around a long time.

Unfortunately, these days there are more breweries closing down than opening.
The high Trump export tariffs won't do any benifits either I'm afraid.
But it is not only the Belgian beer industry that's been affected. A trend we see on a very wide scale.
Also, the energy costs for a brewery are very high these days. One needs to adapt to the new sustainable energy regulations, etc.... inflation, name it. And for a big brewery, these costs could well be a fatal ingredient.
oh well, let us hope for the better, that's the only thing we can do. And after all, there is still more than enough Belgian beer around over here in Belgium, and abroad too.
