Hi Filip,
I am so glad that you recently tasted this brew mentioning how good it now
is, especially in comparison to what it tasted like over 10 years ago! This
may now just be the best brew from Boon, even better than the Gueuzes?! I
need to taste further because there's not much between them.

Strong Dark Ale from Boon, with an ABV of 8.0%. Last tasted in 2011.
Pours a very deep dark burgundy, with a lovely large creamy frothy dense head.
Good lacing.
Malt hoppy aroma.
It's full bodied, thick, oily and viscous. Nicely carbonated with a filling
and soft mouthfeel. Great complexity, well balanced and great depth of flavour.
Burnt malts, malts, hops, spices, coffee, plain chocolate, mocha, spices and
licorice. So smooth, with a luxurious taste and texture, and amazingly easy
drinking. Absolutely outstanding brew!

Yes Viv,
What a great beer this is  :appauding-1:
Boon is doing a re-branding these days!

New labels, new glasses too. Same beer (VERY important)

Something tells me that this will be a HUGE succes story  t_u  t_u  t_u  t_u  t_u

Hi Filip,

That label should stand out anyway! Certainly an improvement on
the rather bland old label that Boon has used.

The main thing is the quality of the brew though, and there's no
doubt that Boon produces many top quality brews, including Duivel
