FRUH KOLSCH  t_u  t_u  t_u

Kolsch from Fruh, with an ABV of 4.8%. Last tasted in 2003.

Pours a pale straw blonde, with a large bubbly frothy head. Some lacing.

Hoppy, herbal and spicy aroma.

Medium bodied, and perfectly carbonated. Some complexity, well rounded,
and good depth of flavour especially for the ABV. Hoppy, crisp, fresh
with herbals, spices, caramel, toffee, and honey with a sweeter start and
dry more bitter finish. Lovely brew!

Cheers!

Hi Viv,
Why does this beer always remind me of that Belgian Früli ??
https://www.brouwerijhuyghe.be/nl/bieren/fruli
That is because that look is so similar, especially that written name of the beer.
But ofcourse, it's a beer that is TOTALLY different (opposite) as the Reinheitsgebot German beer you greatly describe over here.
And, that strawberry beer from Huyghe is so difficult to find over here in Belgium. It's a true export product.
Cheers,
Filip

Yes indeed, I had the same reaction Filip. Thought it was the same beer at first glance.
