VICHTENAAR  t_u  t_u  t_u  t_u

Flanders Red from Verhaeghe, with an ABV of 5.1%. Last tasted in 2010.

Pours a deep ruby burgundy with a good bubbly frothy head. Excellent lacing.

Fresh, crisp, sharp, malty, tart, and oaky aroma.

It's thinnish bodied, and nicely carbonated. Good level of complexity, nicely
balanced, and excellent depth of flavour. Silky smooth, soft mouthfeel, with
a very easy drinking mellowish taste without too much harshness. Low puckering
if any; oaky and vinous with port too, along with the malts, grains, fruit,
balsamic, vanilla. Sweetish yet bitter. Lovely stuff!
