DUCHESSE CHOCOLATE CHERRY  t_u  t_u

Flemish Red with added cherries and chocolate, from Verhaeghe with an ABV of 6.8%.
New brew for me.

Pours a deep dark ruby burgundy, with a smallish bubbly head. No lacing.

Aroma of chocolate, vanilla and ice cream.

Thin bodied, and highly carbonated with a slightly fizzy mouthfeel. Not very
complex or balanced, but there's good depth of flavour. Basically it tastes just
like a Neopolitan Choc-Ice, with vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate ice cream, along
with plain chocolate and wafer. Smooth, sweet, and a bit one-dimensional without
much of the base beer showing through at all. For me it's quite disappointing as
I was expecting far more from this brew.

Cheers!
