Grand Cru barrel aged for 10 years from Rodenbach, with an ABV of 6.0%. New brew for me.

Pours a deep ruby burgundy with a good sized creamy frothy head. Some lacing.

Sweet bretty woody fruity and caramel aroma.

Medium bodied, and perfectly carbonated. Subtle complexity and layers, well rounded and
excellent depth of flavour for the ABV. It's so smooth, easy drinking, with such a
luxurious taste and soft velvety texture. There's plenty of malts, vinegar, balsamic,
grains, molasses, umami, allspice, sour cherry, green apple, red fruits, leather, oak.
Sweet-dry interplay, with just a touch of bretty sour puckering, and the wood aging
comes through strongly but not overpoweringly. Fantastic brew! Definitely a massive
improvement on the base beer.
