JURIST PLEIDOOI  t_u t_u t_u

Quadruple from Better Beer Brewers, with an ABV of 9.1%. New brew
for me.

Pours a very deep dark ruby burgundy, with a good sized frothy bubbly
head. Good lasting residue, and good lacing too.

Aroma of malts, spices, oatmeal, baking powder, and gingerbread.

It's thin to medium bodied, and nicely carbonated. Nice soft filling
mouthfeel, well balanced, plenty of depth of flavour and with some
complexity. It's initially warming spicy, with gingerbread, baking powder,
cloves, spices, dough, bread, caramel, figs, dates, brown sugar and
molasses. Overall as it warms the spices take over, especially the
caromom, and the complexity diminishes somewhat, but it does retain
the dry and bitter middle and finish to the last drop. A strange one
indeed! Strangely enough most sips are different each time, which is
good in some ways but bad in others. Overall, not much in the profile
for a quadruple; muddled flavours and layers. Average brew.

Cheers!
