New Main Page !

Hello,
The BBB has been updated again.
And this time into the most recent Joomla 4.0 version.
Folks, this wasn't an easy task at all. The upgrade from 3.0 towards 4.0 was a total disaster 
I needed to re-install the backups many times.
That's why some messages here on the forum were vanished. My sincere apologizes towards you Viv for having deleted your last tasting experience, and this for several times.
Anyway, I'm still quite happy with the result, and only one of two messages over here were vanished. Could be damn worse 
With this Joomla 4.0, we are safe for a next 6 to 8 years I think.
No prob to post here again, as the upgrade has been succeeded.
Thanks to all for the patience and apologize for the inconveniency.
I need a beer I think 

BTW, there is still ALOT of work to do to fully install the BBB main page. It sure isn't finished yet, as it actually will never be

Thank you so much Viv for the efforts
The new website is running smooth, and it has all of the newest features, ready for the future 
I only need to install a new calendar inside the main page as the calendar now is a wrap from the forum calendar, and unfortunatly doesn't load when accessing the site with smartphone.
Using PC otoh is no problem

Hi John, it is a big relief you succeeded!
The cache thing is mainly responsible for this issue.
I used a backgroud image for the main page, which was too dark, and changed it towards a much light colored versipon, so one can read the text.
It took a big while when the cache accepted the new background. It seems everything is OK now.
A small trick. When pushing the F5 key, the pâge will refresh, BUT without refreshing the cached images.
For also refreshing the cached images, one needs to click Ctrl and F5 together.
At my work, it still showed the dark background, but with a simple Ctrl - F5, that was fixed .

Actually, I'm quite surprised that the BBB is still alive 
Today, many people are accessing social media. Facebook, for instance.
The BBB Facebook group is reaching a 9.000 members, and that speaks for itself. Actually, that is quite intimidating as I'm the only moderator 
Still, the Belgian Beer Board website is a must.
Making articles for instance is nearly impossible on fast clicking Facebook.
