Hi guys,

Recently tasted a bottle of Pannepot, 10.0% APR, from de Struise.

This one was bottled in 2015.

One of my all-time TOP10 brews. And still is.

Sadly, it had not aged particularly well, as the flavours were
too subdued, and the mouthfeel was a bit thin. However, it still had the
vinousness, along with plenty brandy, fino sherry, malts and caramel, along with a good level of complexity, but there was a sharpish hoppy tang in the long finish, and the thick, rich oily texture was no longer.

Not sure if this beer is still being brewed but I'm glad I managed to
get this bottle a couple of years ago.

Cheers!

Hello Viv,
Pannepot is still around, but you don't see them frequently anymore.
Not many Belgian beer pubs do offer the beer.
The beer that's most resembling Pannepot is Straffe Hendrik Quadrupel!
So, I always opt to try this beer instead. Actually, I like it even better.
Cheers,
Filip
