Oude Kriek from Belle-Vue (Inbev), with an ABV of 6.1%. New brew for me.
Brewed at Belle-Vue until production ceased in 1999, and InBev re-introduced it in 2018. Bottled in 2018, label states BBE 2019, so it's a bit past that but these lambics should last for decades....

Pours a golden ruby with a bubbly frothy head. Some lacing.

Fresh, bretty, acidic and fruity hoppy aroma.

It's thinnish bodied, and with a high level of carbonation although it's not effervescent, so it has a soft and very velvety smooth filling fizzy mouthfeel. Complex, layered, and with a good depth of flavour. Lots of fruit especially cherry, strawberry, apple, pear, orange, lemon, lime along with acidic, sour, bretty, and vinegary puckering. Mellows as it warms and overall it's quite tame compared to some so is very easy drinking. Nice and refreshing but average for the style only.
