MAITRE BRUT  t_u  t_u  t_u  t_u  t_u

Champagne style brew from de Meester, with an ABV of 11.0%. New brew for me.

Pours a golden blonde with a huge frothy bubbly head. No lacing.

Fresh hoppy, grainy, herbal, and spicy aroma.

It's medium bodied, and effervescent as per the style, with a lovely soft smooth and luxurious taste, texture and mouthfeel. Complex, layered, and with great depth of flavour. Buttery, spicy, with herbals, hoppy, very dry, and with lots of fruit- especially lychees, pomegranate, peach, mango, lemon, orange peel, and pineapple, plus background brown sugar, grains, and sherbet. Very Deus-like but doesn't quite have the flavour intensity that Deus has but it's still a fantastic brew, and another winner from de Meester. Outstanding!

Cheers!
