OUDE GEUZE DEVILLE  t_u  t_u  t_u  t_u  t_u

Gueze from den Herberg, with an ABV of 6.7%. New brew for me.

Pours a slightly hazy pale golden blonde, with a good sized frothy bubbly head.
Some lacing.

Funky, barnyard, wheat and bretty aroma.

It's medium bodied, and highly carbonated with a soft effervescent mouthfeel.
Good depth of flavour, nicely balanced and complex. It's very citric fruity,
sharp, crisp, tart, sour, dry, acidic, with brett, funk, and barnyard. There's
also green apple, peach, lemon, lime, passion fruit and stone fruits, along
with leather and some wheat. Overall it's very rounded and although there is
some puckering it is altogether quite mellow and remarkably easy drinking.
Up there with the best for the style; amazing brew.
