VAN BRUGGE 12 WHISKY INFUSED  t_u  t_u  t_u  t_u  t_u

Quadruple infused with Talisker whisky from van Brugge, with an ABV of 12.4%. New
brew for me.

Pours a deep golden ruby amber, with a huge frothy creamy head. Excellent lacing.

Strong aroma of whisky, peat, grains and malt.

It's full bodied, full flavoured, complex, and nicely rounded and well balanced
between the base beer and the whisky. Silky smooth, and creamy with a deep
luxurious taste and texture, layered and simply delicious. Quite sweet throughout
with lots of malts, grains, spices, smokey peat, and some very slight background
alcohol burn from the whisky. Long and dry finish, and this is where the hops come
in but only very subtly. I've not tasted the 12 Quadruple but this brew is fantastic
and the whisky certainly doesn't overwhelm the base beer in any way.
