OMER BRUT NATURE (2020 EDITION)  t_u  t_u  t_u  t_u  t_u

Champagne beer from Omer Vander Ghinste, with an ABV of 7.0%. New brew for me.

Pours a copper blonde amber with a huge rocky frothy bubbly head. Excellent lacing.

Spicy floral fruity malty hoppy aroma.

It's medium bodied, with a fizzy effervescent carbonation ( as befits the style ), creating a lovely soft filling mouthfeel. Creamy, luxurious and smooth in texture and taste, with some complexity and is well balanced. Good depth of flavour for the ABV. There's lots of fruit especially tangerines, limes, oranges, lemon, and some berry fruits, with a floral hoppiness and some very background malts; along with gentle spicing, with herbals, marmalade, tuti fruiti ice cream jam, and even some vanilla, all delivered in a quite subtle and classy way. Sweet yet dry and bitter.
I wasn't expecting such a fantastic brew because of the moderate ABV but it really delivers and is certainly a wonderful top quality brew! Highly recommended!
