Hazelnut Porter from Galea ( brewed at Craywinkelhof ), with an ABV of 7.0%. New brew for me.

Pours a jet black with an enormous creamy frothy head, Excellent lacing.

Strong aroma of hazelnut, toffee, fudge and chocolate.

Thinly bodied, and nicely carbonated. Complex, balanced, and with good depth of flavour, with a creamy smooth luxurious texture and taste encompassing hazelnuts, strong herbals and spices, plain chocolate, toffee, fudge, nougat, Topic ( chocolate bar ), spongecake, bread, and hops. Bittersweet. Excellent brew!
