Filip, since Covid all British pubs have had to do table service. (Hooray!) Many pubs are using a sort of app. There is a QR-Code on the table which you scan, this takes you to a webpage with a list of all the drinks and food available they have on sale. You choose what you want, put in your details and pay by credit/debit card. This goes straight through to the bar who put the order together and a waiter brings it to you. Do you know if this system has been introduced in Belgium?

Hi Tony !
Welcome back aBBBoard :)
Yes, the QR-cose is used over here too.
But it only shows the online menu, because the use of the normal menu (card or booklet) isn't that safe, but I've seen that used frequently too.
The virus actually doesn't spread that easy with contact.
Yes, table service is still the norm in Belgium. Paying with money sure has never been forbidden here.
Now, it is only waiting for the 9th of June, when the Belgian bars will open their doors for inside use  t_u
Can't wait .....
Cheers,
Filip
