Hi,
I think this is quite some fantastic news from the Trappist beer scene  :appauding-1:
Chimay 150 was actually brewed for the first time in 2012, as a limited edition (150.000 bottles), for the brewery's 150th anniversary.

The Spéciale Cent Cinquante

I had that one, and I can tell you that this beer was AMAZING !!!!
I just hope they did not change anything to that recipe. If so, it will be a WINNER !!!

Hi Filip,

I noticed the 150 when I was preparing my last beer import order a month or so ago.
The next day when I was ready to complete the order I was going to include this brew
but it had already been sold out!

I tasted one of the 750 bottles in 2013. Very nice but it was a bit too muddled in it's flavours,
with nothing really dominating. I am very keen to taste again though! I am sure that it will
be enjoyed even more this time!

Cheers!

Yes Viv! Definitely.
Available in Bruges through Rudy's De Bierboom, but still not at big supermarkets like Carrefour, Delhaize, etc...
A matter of time I think.
Anyway, I'm looking out for this beauty.
But tomorrow, we will head to France for Holiday reasons, and local beers too ofcourse  t_u
Cheers,
Filip

Viv, Chimay Green is available all week at Tripelb Belgian Bar in Worcester if you're that way at all.

Anyone had a chance to try this one lately? It hasn't made it's way across the pond yet as far as I know. Seems that a number of recently released Belgian beers still aren't available here. Rochefort Triple is another I'd dearly love to try. Oh well, patience ... patience ...  F_C

Hi John,

Patience indeed.............

That's the important thing here as there are so many great brews out there, and many
great new ones continually being released too, but there's only so much time available,
and only so many opportunities to actually taste them!!!

Pace them, and take one brew at a time..  anyway then there's always something to look
forward by way of future tastings.

Cheers!
