PRINS DER DUISTERNIS  t_u  t_u  t_u  t_u  t_u

Strong Dark Ale from Brambrass, brewed at de Meester, with an ABV of 10.0%. New brew for me.

Pours a very deep dark burgundy, almost black. Large frothy creamy head, which produces great lacing.

Aroma of burnt malts, malts, chocolate and cocoa powder.

It's full bodied, and perfectly carbonated with a thick, slick, creamy, smooth and luxurious texture and taste. Complex, layered, balanced and with great depth of flavour. Initial slight sweetness rapidly gives way to the predominantly dry and bitter taste, with lots of malts, coffee, plain chocolate, caramel, cream, cocoa powder, baking powder, dreid fruits, and gentle background spicing
especially ginger and pepper. Excellent brew!

Cheers!
