PRINCE OF DARKNESS  t_u  t_u  t_u  t_u  t_u

Quadruple from Brambrass, brewed at de Meester, with an ABV of 11.0%. New brew for me.

Pours a deep burgundy copper with a large creamy frothy head. Good lacing.

Sweet spicy malty hoppy aroma.

Full bodied, and perfectly carbonated with a thick, creamy, smooth and luxurious mouthfeel and taste, it's complex, layered, balanced and has excellent depth of flavour. Overall very "Belgian" subtle but there's plenty of malts, chocolate, coffee, caramel, spices, hops, dates, raisins, sultanas, and even some Curacao ( which is an ingredient ). Sweet, yet subtly bitter and dry in the finish. Simply an outstanding brew!

Sounds wonderful Viv. You've picked out some real winners, this being one of them.

Cheers! - John

That's definite a true winner!!!
By pure coincidence, I had this beer a couple of days ago  :Manger:

It's clear now that brewMASTER Dirk De Meester (meester = master) is a true brew master!
A true artist in making the stronger quadrupel versions. My kinda thing really ;)

I can only concur your findings Viv.

In other words, this beer is a masterpiece  :exclamation:

There is also that barrel aged version, but that'll be for another time...
