Strong Amber Ale, from Pirlot with an ABV of 9.0%, a new brew for me. ( I have just received confirmation clarification of the style direct from Guy Pirlot, as I thought it was this style despite the majority of websites online claiming it to be a Strong Golden Ale ).

Pours a deep amber with a good sized frothy creamy head. Good lacing.

Sweet syrupy malty herbal hoppy aroma.

It's medium to full bodied, and nicely carbonated with a creamy, luxurious, filling mouthfeel. Complex, layered, balanced, and with good depth of flavour. Quite sweet throughout, with orchard fruits, honey, herby hops, spices, jammy, and malt based, along with a very grainy and slightly bitter dry finish. Lovely brew!

Cheers!
