GALEA GRAND CRU  t_u  t_u  t_u  t_u  t_u

Strong Blonde Ale from Galea, brewed at Eutropius, with an ABV of 9.5%. New brew for me.

Pours a pale straw yellow, with a good sized creamy frothy head. Good lacing.

Aromas of herbal hops, malts, citrus fruit, wheat, and banana.

It's medium bodied, and well carbonated with a lovely soft and filling mouthfeel. Creamy, luxurious and smooth in texture and taste it's complex, layered, balanced, and has great depth of flavour. Initially it's crisp, sharp, clean, refined, with lots
of herbal hops, spices, with a sweet chalky sherbet background. Then malts, tropical and citrus fruits, including pineapple and banana, esters appear, along with straw, wheat, grass, minerals, honey, pepper, and also with just a hint of juniper and gin. Great stuff!
