Santé - Maris Otter - 5.2 vol%

Hi,
This beer was tasted yesterday at home in the garden during very warm summer period.
That screams for a refreshing lower alcohol beer 







Santé - Maris Otter.
A hoppy blond beer at 5.2 vol%.

The barcode on the label refers to https://vokla.be/ with address Pathoekeweg 9B, 8000 Brugge, and registered office address at Scheepsdalelaan 18, 8000 Brugge.
It seems that the beer company is indeed part of Vokla.

Maris Otter is a pale malt.
This malt variety has a biscuity, sweet flavor. It's sort of like two row with a little biscuit malt and a hint of munich malt.

Commercial description:

"Sante Maris Otter is named after the Belgian type of malt used in the brewing process. The first aromas meet you right away. The perfumes of heather and citrus clearly indicate floral and fruity notes with even a spicy touch even though the aromas always remain soft and subtle.

The grassy start flows into a refreshing taste. Crisp & fresh. Despite the rather low alcohol percentage Santé Maris Otter has a lot of body and taste. The beer combines its hoppy personality with a pleasant smoothness with regard to its flavour."

Grassy earthy hoppy is the key here!
And all hops come from Belgium (Poperinge).... see that label.

That's a really highly refreshing beer, and quite a delicate beer too.

The main question that follows is where is it exactly brewed?
My list says De Proefbrouwerij (actually, I don't know anymore where I found that  I think from zythos.be, but this beer firm isn't listed anymore over there ??)
There's people saying brewery Eutropius but also brewery De Brabandere.
Will we ever know?

Anyway, the flavors are OK and above all delicious, which is the most important factor really

BTW, they also offer Sante Holy White at 5,1 vol%, a Belgian style wheat beer (witbier)
But that one still needs to be savoured.....

Hi,
I got the confirmation that this beer is brewed at bry. De Brabandere (Bavik).
Certainly a different brew from Petrus blond. There's already that different alc %.
So, a worhty Belgian Beer Company entry.
