VAGEBRUIN QUADRUPLE WINTERBIER  t_u  t_u  t_u  t_u  t_u

Quadruple Winter beer from Vagebond, with an ABV of 10.5%. New brew for me.

( On the current website there are the VageBruin Quadruple (10.5%)      and VageBruin Winter   (8.7%) but no VageBruin Quadruple Winterbier, so it's a bit confusing ( I think this is   simply a quadruple brew that maybe was released as a seasonal/winter beer, which has   now been replaced by the Winter?  )

Pours a very deep ruby burgundy, with a frothy creamy head. Good lacing.

Aroma of baking powder, cocoa powder, burnt malts, hops and bananas.

It's full to medium bodied, and perfectly carbonated with a rich, smooth, creamy, and luxurious mouthfeel and taste. Complex, layered, balanced, and with excellent depth of flavour there's malts, hops, bananas, dates, raisins, sultanas, coffee, plain chocolate, mocha, burnt toast, cocoa powder, baking powder and it's sweetish, but with a wonderful dry bitter finish. Outstanding brew!

Cheers!
