Quadruple from Amai, with an ABV of 10.0%. New brew for me.

Pours a very deep dark burgundy, with a fair sized creamy frothy head. Some lacing.

Aromas of chocolate, burnt malts, spices, stone fruits, dried fruits, coffee and mocha.

It's medium bodied, and perfectly carbonated. Complex, layered, balanced, with great depth of flavour. Rich, smooth and luxurious in taste and texture. Initial sweetness gives way to a long dry and spicy bitter finish. Lots of malts, burnt malts, herbals,
coffee, stone fruits, dried fruits especially dates, raisins and figs, plain chocolate, and subtle spices, and as it warms cognac, port and burgundy wine dominate whilst it takes on a vinous character. Great brew!

Cheers!
