Hi,
From 4th to 22th of July, we will hit the region of Ardèche again.
Personally, I find this to be the most beautiful region of France.
We've been there last summer, and had some truely amazing time.
I'll do my upper best to explore the Belgian beer scene over there, and report back here on the BBB.
Should be a great vacation. And next year, if the virus behaves well, we sure will hit Thailand (again).
Cheers,
Filip

Nice wordplay John :)
Actually, I think the region of Ardèche is nicer than Nice.
I've been at Nice (and the whole Côte d'Azur) and wow, such an expensive city. Too posh for me though  :beersign:
Cheers,
Filip

You both have a fantastic break in Ardeche Filip, fingers crossed that we can start to see a return of something resembling normality.

Still in limbo regarding our next break (Copenhagen in October for the Mikkeller beer festival) but to be honest I can't see it going ahead but fingers crossed  F_C
Here in the UK the new Indian variant of COVID is exploding (but deaths at a low) and two days ago I had my second vaccine jab, so at least now I feel a lot safer.

Looking forward to reading a travel report  :culsec:

Vaccination is OK (hope for Linda too and the kids)  t_u t_u
Things eventually will settle. Copenhagen is a big possibility ! SURE !!!

BTW.. Katyrien still needs her second vaccine, and that is 9 August.
So, we have a little hassle to obtain her Covid certificate (72hours valid). A must entering France.
CTPCode , etc... etc.... I will do her PCR test next Thursday afternoon  :find:

Cheers,
Filip

Well folks, that report didn't happen.
But still, I want you all to show what beer we found to be the best we had during our trip!
And yes, it was a French beer!

Feuillette - beer from Lozère - "Cognac Barrel" with Raspberry - 11 vol%.
Brewed at Les brasseurs de la Jonte - https://lesbrasseursdelajonte.fr

I bought this bottle at a beer shop next to our hotel for about €7.00

A wheat beer with raspberry, aged in barrels of Cognac – Alc. 11% vol

Hops: Summit

This beer is made from barley, wheat and raspberry and has a pale pink color. The raspberry is very present on the nose and in the mouth several sensations are linked. First, powerful raspberry notes, then the suave and sweet sides of the cognac take over, and finally, the bitterness of hops gives a grapefruit finish. This beer is complex and uncorked for special occasions!!

Lafeuillette was a French pre-metric unit of volume measurement for liquids. The word comes from the slip, the gauge indicating the good filling of the barrel.

Sweet and fruity sour and quite thick on the tongue.
Bretty too, and very raspberry fruity.
It was a hotel beer, hence the not so appetizing plastic glasses. My apologizes for that.
But even with that it was an amazing tasty beer, although not that much foam.

Cheers,
Filip
