Christmas brew from Silenrieux, specially for Brass'heure Festival at Cerfontaine, with an ABV of 9.0%. New brew for me.

Pours a very deep dark burgundy, with a lovely bubbly creamy head. Good lacing.

Aroma of dark chocolate, mocha, coffee, malts, burnt malts and spices.

It's medium bodied, with a highly carbonated soft, fizzy and filling mouthfeel. Smooth, and luxurious in texture and taste, good depth of flavours, balanced and with good complexity, and there's lots of plain chocolate, mocha, caramel, coffee, dried
fruits, nuts, candy, spices, brown sugar and liquorice too. Even a hint of sour in the long dryish slightly bitter hoppy finish. Great brew indeed!

Cheers!
