ROCHEHAUT BRUNE  t_u  t_u  t_u  t_u  t_u

Strong Dark Ale from Rochehaut, with an ABV of 9.0%. New brew and new brewery ( brasserie ) for me.
Pours a deep ruby burgundy with a good sized creamy frothy head. Good lacing.

Aromas of chocolate, spices, malts, florals and herbals.

It's full bodied, and perfectly carbonated. Complex, layered and balanced with great depth of flavour. Smooth luxurious creamy mouthfeel, with malts, burnt malts, stone and summer fruits, cocoa powder, mocha, coffee, toffee, caramel and dark chocolate dominate, with some barley, oats, spices, herbals, and Dundee fruitcake. Quite a bitter dry finish. Lovely brew indeed!

Cheers!
