Brasserie d'Achouffe turns 40

This message nicely follows the Br. d'Achouffe started from bits and pieces.... post.
Brasserie d'Achouffe turned 40 years this year, and that needs to be celebrated ofcourse.
For this occasion, some limited gift-packs were made, and  send to loyal customers, which seems I'm also part of it.
See, brewmaster Achouffe Chris Bauweraerts snail-mailed me this wonderful package !!! 





The package shows the Achouffe based brewery d'Achouffe. Beautiful 



After a while, I found out how to actually open this carton box. Patience really is a virtue



Quite some surprise to find out that it contains a bottle of Achouffe blonde, an authentic Achouffe bottle opener, tasting glass, the red gnome cap (with bell), and a load of beer mats!

Packing out was a feast

I thought that they would have added the new 40 years anniversary beer, and the appropriate tasting glass.

That's one really nice looking gift pack there Filip, La Chouffe certainly know how to create something special and a very nice gesture from Chris.

By pure chance I'm currently drinking a La Chouffe Blonde for this weeks #Belgiansunday and it's one with the 40th label.



Belgian yeast, coriander seed, orange, clove, floral, candy sugar...a true Belgian classic 🇧🇪❤️

I LOVE coincidences like that Jay 
Not sure if you know this (which I strongly doubt), but the idea to put coriander as an ingredient in La Chouffe Blonde came from Pierre Celis, the man who re-invented the Belgian wheatbeers (witbieren) (Hoegaarden).
