Hi,
What a great beer has been savored!

https://hopsasam.beer/bieren/nonniversaire-1

One of the best barley wines I had for ages!
Calvados barrel aged into 12.5 vol%, giving that amazing woody aroma and flavor.
A silky soft beer that goes in so smooth. Dangerous drinkable this means  :eyes:
This is a very sweet beer.
Toffee, melasses, dried fruits like raisins, prunes, a load of malty flavors, but nothing really hoppy.
This is a 50cl bottle, so tasting was done with a lot of time. Highly satisfying!

I need MORE  ;)

Cheers,
Filip

Now that sounds like something that bit special Filip 😋 I've had a few Calvados barrel aged beers and like you say in your description it imparts a wonderful toffee, stewed apple, dried fruit edge that's quite unlike any other barrel.

Later I'll be posting my first beer pic on the new BBB forum. It's one I've had many times before but seems right as my first post as it was the first bottled beer I ordered on our first trip to Bruges and I ordered it at our first visit to Beertje.

Cheers
Jay 👍🏻
