Hi guys,

Jay, your recent post mentioning Stille Nacht Reserva reminded me to post something
about this brew.

I have still not yet ever tasted this seasonal brew, although that can now be rectified!

Before Christmas I managed to buy one bottle, expecting them all to fly off the shelves,
so was pleasantly surprised when the beershop still had plenty in stock in January thus
giving me the opportunity to purchase another three bottles.

As far as I know the beershop still has a good level in stock too for those who might
wish to taste this rare brew. But I am very surprised that they haven't all been snapped
up by now.  Not cheap but surely still great value!

Cheers!

Hi Viv,
It is after all a very expensive beer, even when buying at the source.
That price could easily be the main reason why they are still on the shelves  :chin:
Anyway Viv, good catch there mate !!!  :find:

Hi Filip,

Yes, this beer may be expensive but I am sure that it's highly sort after,
like most of the Cantillon brews, many of which are far more expensive.

I've read your tasting notes and Jay's of this brew so it's definitely worth
the cost.

And naturally it's really nice to finally have some bottles to taste after a
long long wait!!

I look forward to posting my tasting notes some time in the future......

Cheers!

There you said it Viv,
It's all about offer and demand, and I think the demand for Stille Nacht reserva is huge, hence the expensiveness.
The thing is, when De Dolle would suddenly brew masses of that beer, the price sure would go downwards, because it would loose it's exclusivity. Think of Westy 12.
