Quadruple from Castalia, brewed at Eutropius, with an ABV of 9.5%. New brew for me.

Pours a deep dark ruby burgundy with a huge rocky frothy creamy head. Good lacing.

Malty, hoppy and spicy aroma.

It's full bodied, and nicely carbonated, with a rich, smooth, creamy and luxurious
texture and taste. At its coldest there's lots of malts, burnt malts, chocolate,
fruits including dates and figs, dried fruits including sultanas and raisins, spices,
grapes, and toffee. As it warms it becomes far more hoppy, floral and herbal. Quite
dry and slightly bitter in the finish. There's great depth of flavour, plenty of
layered complexity, and it's well balanced. Great stuff!
