Barley Wine from VBDCK, with an ABV of 15.0%. New brew for me.

Pours a very slightly cloudy golden blonde with a small bubbly head, which
does leave a residue throughout.

Fruity herbal floral spicy hoppy aroma.

It's full bodied, and nicely carbonated ( even though it looks pretty flat ),
with a thick oily filling mouthfeel that feels slightly effervescent. Balanced,
layered, and complex, with good depth of flavour. There's malts, hops, florals,
herbals, grains, spices, honey and caramel. Very dry and bitter throughout.
Lovely brew indeed!

Hi Viv,
Indeed a GREAT strong Belgian beer!

My taste buds say they've added Mei Kwei Lu Chiew (54vol%) - rose petals spirit !
Could explain the 15 vol%.
