Hi,
Time for a very special beer!

Brewed for Holy Beer House (=David Rogiers) at brewery Deca: https://decabrouwerij.be/gastbrouwers/brouwerij-hbh/

The label shows an old picture from brewery Deca.

A dark malty sweet baleywine that has been brewed on 13 March 2020, and bottled on 6 November 2020.
That's about an 8 months of barrel ageing.
Barrel aged into a used genever barrel that was prior used for Bourbon!!!!  :eyes:

Only 900 bottles were made, which makes it quite a unique beer.

It is an amazing beer folks!
Sweet and dense, and malty pleasant.
Dark brown with a hint of ruby red.
The foam was quite shy, but it stayed till the last drop.
The Bourbon and Genever can be tasted ! It also gives that tobacco and cedar wood flavors and aroma.
A very complex beer indeed that keeps you sipping.
Dark fruits, figs, dried raisins, and a mellow sweet vanilla flavor too.
Drinks very smooth and soft with a significant alcoholic boost.

A damn fantastic beer altogether. About 13 Euro for one bottle something.
