KOLLUSION  t_u t_u t_u t_u t_u

A collaboration brew, their first, being an Russian Imperial Stout, between
Maenhout and Boom Island ( US Brewer ), with an ABV of 11.0%. New brew for me.

Pours a jet black, with a huge creamy bubbly head. Some lacing but not much.

Strong and bitter aroma of coffee, burnt malts, and dark chocolate.

It's full bodied, and perfectly carbonated with a thick, rich, creamy, oily,
luxurious mouthfeel, texture and taste. Well balanced, complex and layered, with
great depth of flavour; sweet yet bitter. There's plenty of coffee, dark
chocolate, burnt malts, mocha, cocoa powder, baking powder, caramel, and toast.
Some fruity hops reveal themselves now and again as it warms, and make it light
and easy drinking. Outstanding brew, and not far off the best of the de Struise
brews for the style.

Cheers!
