JACKIE BLACK  t_u t_u t_u

Imperial Russian Stout from Inglorious Brew Stars, brewed at BeerSelect(Brouwland),
with an ABV of 8.9%. New brew for me.

Pours a jet black, with a good sized frothy creamy head. No lacing is produced.

Gorgeous aroma of burnt malts, freshly baked bread, toast, cocoa powder, dough,
mocha, coffee, and baking powder.

It's medium to full bodied, and nicely carbonated, with a lovely velvety smooth,
luxurious mouthfeel. Well balance, layered and complex. When cold the hops are
more prevalent and there's a sharp herbal fruity hop bite; but as it warms it
mellows, becomes more oily in texture, and then more flavours come out- burnt
malts, herbal hops, vanilla, chocolate, coffee, mocha, caramel, toffee. Nice
brew, average for the style.
