DE ZWARTE ZWAAN  t_u  t_u  t_u

Milk stout from 't Brugs BierInstituut, brewed at de Proef, with an ABV of 8.0%. New brew for me.

Pours jet black with a large frothy creamy light tan head. Great lacing.

Sweet spicy malty aroma.

It's medium bodied, and nicely carbonated with a smooth and thick, slick, oily mouthfeel. Creamy yet sharp, crisp and hoppy, it's balanced, smooth and has great depth of flavour;  there's burnt malts, coffee, mocha, toffee, vanilla, oats, toast, and phenols. Sweetish malty start, ending with a lovely hoppy bite in the dry bitter DE ZWARTE ZWAAN 2022.jpg finish. Good brew!

Cheers!
