Hi everyone,

My oh my did I have a fantastic beer for my #Belgian Sunday. It was a beer from our good friend Rudy and his De Vier Monniken Brouwerij, a bottle from his Barrel Series - #4, a mighty 13% Barrel aged Barley Wine aged for over 10 months in a single Heaven Hill Bourbon Barrel, bottle #101/330

Dark chestnut beer with a sudsy head that instantly collapses, just smelling the beer and you get that wonderful Bourbon barrel (proper barrel aging) there's also coconut, toffee, vanilla soaked oak, caramel.

What an amazing beer, one that's worthy of its Barrel Aged title (unlike earlier efforts with bourbon soaked vanilla beans and wood) this had as much true barrel character as the big beers from CloudWater and Track (and that's some compliment)

Here's to #5
