Hi,
Not really sure if this is a habbit that's been done outside Belgium too, i.e. giving Xmas balls at no charge when ordering some Belgian Xmas beers.
This nice "Bush glass shaped" Xmas ball is offered when buying a 6-pack at the supermarket or beer shop.

And this also very nice Xmas ball is given when drinking 3 Gordon Xmas beers at HOPtimist beer pub here in Bruges.
Nice festivity gestures from our beloved Belgian breweries.
The 12 vol% Bush de Noël is still a masterpiece.
It is a more malty caramelly version of the Bush Caractère. Gives a bit more body to it, and a bit more of a creamy head.
Great Xmas touches to an already masterly brew.
That amazing Gordon Xmas beer is always a must-do when Xmas arrives.
That promotion of offering the Xmas balls is a wonderful gesture.
The beer itself is still a true moment of enjoyment.
Caramel flavors and that typical touch of butter scotch. Makes it even more creamy.
Again, this is a sweet beer and nothing too much of hops going on.
It's all about the alcoholic warming boost, the sweetness, the creaminess, the caramel flavors, and that rich dense mouth feeling.
Oh Jesus, do I love Xmas arriving soon !!!
BTPint: At beer pub De HOPtimist, you can buy those Xtremely delicious dried sausages.
The first picture gives it cut in pieces, so when I ordered our second Gordon Xmas beer (to obtain our Xmas ball
), I asked Thomas to deliver it un-cut, so you can see the real deal.
These are actually named "Sint-Michielse lange" (a long sausage from Sint-Michiels, that suburb municipality of Bruges where HOPtimist is located)

Filip
