Glenn revealing, and everybody (incl. Podge here in front) waiting - with tension - for the outcome. It was a nice surprise: The Scottisch yeast was the distinct winner, and the Irish yeast second (the dried yeast T58 being the less favoured one)!! Did I notice some disappointment amongst our English fellows ? :-)
Note that a similar tasting has happened at the recent Zythos Beer Fest (picture report incl. the tasting). There, the Irish was first ! The brewers were not happy with the outcome really. The Scottish yeast being a very difficult yeast to handle, as the fermentation kept lasting and lasting. Very un-economic indeed. So they wisely decided to finally go for the IRISH yeast. Keeping in mind the good appreciations already at the ZBF.
